I don’t know about you, but I love fresh strawberries in the middle of spring! It’s like a little reminder summer’s on the way! This strawberry chia seed parfait will make all your fresh spring strawberry dreams come true!

Dessert is amazing! It is even better if it is healthy, balanced and fulfilling! I especially love when a dessert can become a great snack or breakfast item!

This Strawberry Chia Seed Parfait will fit exactly that bill! It’s good to eat with your morning coffee, or as an afternoon snack or as a delicious treat at the end of your day!

The best part of this whole recipe is that it only needs 3 ingredients and requires little to no time to make! Basically making this the best grab-and-go snack!

What you will need:

  • 3/4 Cup of Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Ground Chia Seeds
  • 3 or 4 Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Jar

A few tips for buying the ingredients are to look for strawberries grown in your area ( they just taste the absolute best!) and look at the yogurt ingredients! Some companies will add a lot of sugar to their yogurts that just really isn’t necessary! Really what should be in it is the yogurt and the cultures, vanilla, and a bit of sugar to sweeten it! You can always buy plain yogurt and when at home add vanilla and honey to make it vanilla yogurt!

How to make The Best Strawberry Chia Seed Parfait!

  1. Scoop a 3/4 cup of Vanilla yogurt into a clean jar
  2. Add in the Tablespoon and a half of the ground chia seeds
  3. Mix it together
  4. Stick it in the fridge overnight to let the chia seeds expand
  5. Cut up the 4 strawberries and add them in

Two important things to add are that it is really important to use ground chia seeds and not whole ones as it will indeed affect the texture of the parfait and you don’t want that! The other one is to ensure you let it sit overnight to allow the chia seeds to grab as much of the liquid as possible because this also affects the texture if not completed!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup of Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon of Ground Chia Seeds
  • 4 Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 Jar with lid

Instructions

  1. Scoop the 3/4 cup of yogurt into the jar
  2. Pour in the 1 1/2 TBSP of Ground Chia seeds
  3. Mix them together and put it in the fridge for 8 hours
  4. Slice the 4 Strawberries up and mix them in
  5. Eat up

Notes

Make sure to use ground chia seeds to keep the texture perfect and do not forget to leave it in the fridge for a while so the chia seeds do their job!
